Erik Proper

I am professor in Information Science within the Institute for Computing and Information Sciences of the Radboud University Nijmegen in the Netherlands. I have been in this position since 2002. Before joining Radboud University I've spent four years in industry working for Ordina, ID Research and Origin. Before this industrial period I worked as a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at different Universities in Australia.

While working for Ordina, I was one of the initiators of the ArchiMate project, from which the ArchiMate Foundation has resulted. My current research interests include enterprise modelling, enterprise engineering and enterprise architecture, with a specific focus on tools and techniques to support enterprise architecting and engineering.

In addition to being a founding member of the ArchiMate Foundation, I am also a co-founder of the Netherlands Architecture Forum and one of the editors of Via Nova Architectura.
